The 'normal' sunday routine is waking up on time for the gym, but not today. My dad invited me to join him for a photography workshop.  Still we had to wake up early, but this time to head out for Almere. Studio34x to be exact, with the theme for the workshop: Portraits

"A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant"

So no airplanes, but studio, models & light setups. The fun part about this, or doing these things, is that is pushes me (and my dad) out of our comfort zone. Controlling the light in a studio is completely different compared to waiting outside for ideal conditions. To be pushed out of that comfort zone will trigger you to learn and re-think your photography.

The workshop was done in the massive studio of Studio34x in Almere. There is so much to learn and experience there if you are into studio work and flash photography. Be sure to check out the website from Studio34x or to attent a workshop, it is worth it!
